ACCDL Core

Overview of Services

The primary service that will be offered is clinical toxicology testing (prescription drugs, illicit substances) in a variety of matrices including blood, urine and oral fluid. In addition, we provide CLIA compliant testing results that can be returned to study participants or their healthcare providers (e.g. Saliva SARS-CoV-2 antibody testing). The testing center was established as part of the HPTN LC Toxicology core to facilitate high-volume qualitative screening of plasma samples for ARV drugs, as well as urine toxicology screening by mass spectometry. This generated interest from other labs both within and outside of Johns Hopkins, and we now receive requests to develop mass spectrometry-based drug screening in a variety of sample matrices and perform testing on a fee-for-service basis.
