Sexually transmitted infections are surging in the United States and beyond. Adolescents and young adults are particularly at risk. These infections may cause severe long-term health consequences including pelvic inflammatory disease, infertility, and increased risk for contracting HIV.
Our STD Service Center staff is committed to helping researchers, healthcare professionals, and commercial technology developers address this epidemic. We offer testing for chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomonas, mycoplasma, syphilis, and HIV. We also prepare contrived specimens to meet user specifications and offer desktop evaluations of new technologies. Our laboratory is College of American Pathologists (CAP) certified and our staff has decades of combined laboratory experience. We value collaboration, innovation, and creativity.
